Activating Your Sitebuilder

All domains registered with Register.ca include a free 3 page site builder that you can activate and publish. The site builder offers you several professional templates to choose from and provides you with an easy drag-and-drop interface that lets you place text, images and other content without any coding necessary. You can get started right away once your domain has been registered by completing the following steps:

1. Log in to your profile.
2. Click Account Management > My Domains on the menu tabs.
3. Under My Domains, click the domain for which you want to activate the site builder.
4. Click on the Manage Sitebuilder link that appears at the bottom of the Manage Domain page.
5. Click the Start button to begin the activation process. You will be given the opportunity to update the DNS information automatically. This will set a CNAME and a URL redirect to point to the Site Builder platform, removing any other host records and changing your nameservers.
6. The system will report that the Site Builder has been configured successfully. Click Login to access the editor and select a template for your site.

Notes:

You can reset your free site builder at any time by clicking the Reset button that appears on the right side of the page following activation. Resetting the site builder will delete any content currently set on the system and return the activation interface to its original settings.

The free site builder can be upgraded to a paid package at any time. Click the Upgrade button that appears in the editor and complete the form that appears on the next page. We will upgrade the account to the paid package you are interested in. Please note that once the account is upgraded, there will be a different interface that you will need to log in to for access to the editor. Please pay attention to the Welcome Letter that you will receive when the account has been activated.
